Carbink Raid Pokemon Go

Carbink made its debut with the Pokemon Go Fest 2023 event, and players are wondering how to beat its raid and catch this Pokemon. Here’s all you need to know about the Carbink Raid in Pokemon Go, including weaknesses, counters, shiny availability, and more.

All Pokemon Go Raids have tricks to beat them easily, and the Carbink Raid is no exception to the rule. Players should prepare themselves, as it will not be easy to get their hands on this Rock/Fairy-type Pokemon.

The Jewel-inspired Pokemon is a great acquisition for every trainer that is able to participate in the event. Players are also wondering if Carbink can be shiny, and the best counters and strategy to beat this Raid. Here’s what you need to know about Carbink Raids in Pokemon Go.

How to get Carbink in Pokemon Go

To get Carbink, Pokemon Go players need to participate in the Go Fest live events going on in London, Osaka, and New York, by defeating and catching it in a Raid.

Players will also have a chance to find and catch Carbink during the Global event from August 26 to August 27 through Field Research Encounters.

Pokemon Go Carbink type & weaknesses

In Pokemon Go, Carbink is a Rock/Fairy-type, and its weaknesses include Steel, Ground, Grass, and Water-type attacks. Steel Type moves are a double weakness for Carbink, so if you have a good Steel-type on your team, this is the time to use it.

At the same time, you should avoid using Normal, Bug, Fire, Dark, Dragon, and Flying Pokemon, as Carbink is resistant to these types of moves.

Best counters for Pokemon Go Carbink Raid

Some of the best counters to beat the Pokemon Go Carbink Raid are Steel-type Pokemon like Mega Aggron, Genesect, or Metagross. If Mega Aggron is equipped with Iron Tail as its fast move and Heavy Slam as its charged move, it should handle the Carbink Raid with no problem.

Here’s a list of the best counters to beat the Carbink Raid in Pokemon Go:

  • Metagross: With its fast move Bullet Punch you can charge Meteor Mash in no time, causing a great deal of TDO (Total Damage Output). But its base health is a little low, so keep that in mind.
  • Mega Aggron: The best of the best, combines high base health and extreme TDO with Iron Tail and Heavy Slam. Plus, Mega Evolved Pokemon are tankier than regular Pokemon.
  • Genesect: Equipped with Metal Claw to charge its Magnet Bomb move will ensure a balanced TDO.
  • Excadrill: With Metal Claw as its most reliable fast move you won’t do much damage, but if combined with the charged move Iron Head, it really packs a punch.

You can also go with other Pokemon like Kyogre (Primal form), Mega Scizor, and Mega Steelix.
