Pokemon fans desperate for a Gen 1 remake with modern features

The first generation of Pokemon games will always be special, be it by its classic designs that inspired hundreds of thousands of fans or the anime main characters that were from the Kanto region.
The most recent Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games have indeed taken fans on an unforgettable trip through Kitakami and the Blueberry Academy, but they are far from being the best of all times. All Pokemon trainers have their favorite generation, and some are asking desperately for a remake of the first one.
This was posted by ‘TheKosmicKollector’ in the Pokemon subreddit, and the community quickly felt the need to express what they would like to see in a possible future remake of the Kanto Region.
The OP also stated: “Let’s Go was fun, but I’d personally love to see a fun, glossy remake of the Gen 1 games with a ton of modern features for the Switch, so I made these mockups!”
One of the players commenting on the OP’s mockup said: “That would be awesome, let’s hope Gamefreak hears you!” Other Pokemon fans started to suggest some changes they would like to see in the remakes, which include changes in the gym order, an increase in the difficulty of the battles (like the ones we’ve seen in Scarlet and Violet), freedom of choice of 8 badges between 16 gyms, among others.
But not every fan wants a remake of the Gen 1 games, as one of them suggested: “I’d rather have sequels/new games in Kanto. I want to see what Lillie is doing there.” And another one said: “Yeah, maybe defeating Brock Onix for the 12th time isn’t as fun.”
Other trainers have different but also cool expectations: “I wanna go to Orange/Seveei and get that damn Crystal Onix I have wanted for 10-20 years.” Another one added: “Indeed, exploring the Seveei Archipelago (or Sevii Islands) would be a great idea for a Gen 1 remake.”
So there you have it, Pokemon fans want a remake of the Kanto region, and they have really cool ideas on how to add some spice to them.
