Buzzwole is one of the most exciting additions to Pokemon Go 5-Star Raids in January 2024 and a player has shocked the community by soloing the powerful Ultra Beast with only one Pokemon that’s neither 100 IV nor maxed out.

Three of the strongest Ultra Beasts have taken over 5-Star Raids in Pokemon Go and trainers from around the world are wasting no time in adding Buzzwole, Pheromosa, and Xurkitree to their collection.

Among these three species, Buzzwole is the bulkiest and so, it is a tougher challenge than the other two Ultra Beasts. But a trainer has stunned everyone by not only taking on a Buzzwole Raid alone but also beating it with just one Pokemon.

A post by a user named ‘ULTIMATEFIGHTEER’ on the Pokemon Go subreddit showed the instant they beat a Buzzwole Raid with Mega Rayquaza, with more than half a minute still left on the Raid timer, captioned: “Solod my first 5 star raid AMA.”

The post invited comments from several Pokemon Go fans who were impressed with the OP’s achievement, as they wrote: “I can’t even do a simple regular raid by myself LOL. Good sh*t” and “Cool keep it up.”

When asked about Buzzwole’s moveset during the Raid battle, the OP replied that the Pokemon had Power-Up Punch as more fans lauded them for taking advantage of the Ultra Beast’s double-weakness to Flying-type attacks by using the powerful Mega Rayquaza.

But what took everyone off-guard was the OP’s revelation that their Mega Rayquaza was only level 39 and not maxed out to level 50.

“Wait really? That’s crazy,” a user commented before asking: “Is the IV perfect?” This prompted the OP to throw another surprise when they stated that the Mega Rayquaza’s IVs were only “13-12-15.” To this, others added that the damage boost received from the in-game weather was the “big difference maker.”

While the OP was certainly “lucky” as they encountered the right Buzzwole Raid moveset and weather to battle, it certainly is a big deal to solo a 5-Star Raid with only a level 39 Pokemon.
