Can Wurmple be shiny in Pokemon Go?

Yes, shiny Wurmple is available in Pokemon Go, so you might encounter one in the wild.

The shiny version of the Wurmple has been around since January 2020, when it debuted in Niantic’s mobile during the Hatchathon 2020 event.

How to evolve Wurmple in Pokemon Go: Branched evolution explained

Wurmple has a branched evolution into its second stage, and Pokemon Go players can get both by feeding 12 Wurmple Candy to this species.

There’s a 50% chance of getting either Silcoon or Cascoon, which look almost alike besides their shell color. Feeding 50 Wurmple Candy to Silcoon will result in it evolving into Beautifly, the Butterfly Bug/Flying-type Pokemon.

If your chances net you a Cascoon, feeding it 50 Wurmple Candy will evolve it into the Bug/Poison-type Dustox. This is how Wurmple’s branched evolution works in Pokemon Go, which in the mainline games is also random.

And that’s everything you need to catch Wurmple and get its evolutions in Pokemon Go! For more Pokemon content, make sure to check more guides below:
