How to get free Gastrodon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Redeem code

A new distribution code for a Mystery Gift to claim Gastrodon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet was released. This Gastrodon is loosely based on 2022’s World Champion, and here’s how you can claim it in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

During the 2023 Pokemon World Championship stream, a new Mystery Gift code was revealed. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can enter this code to claim a free Gastrodon based on the one used by 2022’s World Champion.

Gastrodon is a Water and Ground-Type Pokemon introduced in Gen 4, and it has been a favorite in the competitive scene since Eduardo Cunha won last year’s event with it among its team members.

How to claim Mystery Gift code for Gastrodon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Mystery Gift codes in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are a good source of free Poke Balls, Items, and new party members for your team. Here’s how to claim an East form Gastrodon based on the 2022’s Champion in the game:

1. Open the Game Menu and press X.
2. Go to the Pokeportal section.
3. Scroll down and enter Mystery Gift section.
4. Select ‘Redeem Code.’
5. Enter code: 23WCSGASTR0D0N

Remember that you can only claim one Mystery Gift code per save file. So, be sure you are logged into the right save file before claiming it.

What build does Gastrodon have in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

Players will receive a level 50 Gastrodon with the Calm Nature and the Storm Drain ability. It has Leftovers as a held item, and its moveset is the following: Earth Power (Ground), Icy Wind (Ice), Yawn (Normal), and Protect (Normal).

This code will remain active only until August 14, 2023, at 16:59 PT / 19:59 ET / 00:59 BST (August 15), so hurry up and claim it before it expires.
