Strongest Pokemon Ranked

The strongest Pokemon across the entire franchise are fearsome creatures that are not only tough to track down but extremely powerful in battle. Our ranked list will highlight the strongest Pokemon of all time by analyzing total base stats.

Whether you’re trying to get them on your team or preparing a strategy to face them, knowing which Pokemon are the strongest will have you ready to jump into any Pokemon game. The Pokemon franchise has been around for over 25 years and with upward of 1000 Pokemon in existence, it could be difficult to track the strongest ones.

Fans have been trying to decide what is the strongest Pokemon for ages. Most of the strongest Pokemon are of the Legendary variety and while crowning the coolest-looking Pokemon the strongest may be tempting, we’ve used their stats to determine the most powerful.

Here is a ranked list of the strongest Pokemon of all time.

Dialga Palkia Pokemon

Strongest Pokemon of all time ranked

Arceus is the undisputed strongest Pokemon of all time. When Generation Four arrived and introduced Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, few could have predicted that players would get another Legendary Pokemon in the form of Arceus.

The Normal-type Pokemon is nicknamed “The Original One” and Pokemon lore suggests that Arceus is the creator of the entire Pokemon Universe. Its 720 base stats rank it above the remaining list of powerful Legendary Pokemon.

Game Freak and the Pokemon Company have done a great job balancing the strongest Pokemon over the years as the list below includes classic Pokemon such as Mewtwo alongside relatively new Eternatus, Solgaleo, and Lunala.

The list of strongest Pokemon does not include alternate-form Pokemon such as Mega Evolutions. Given certain conditions must be met to achieve Mega Evolution, we’ve only decided to include base forms. However, you can rest assured that Mega Evolution Pokemon are incredibly powerful, with most base stats reaching the 700 mark.

Once again we’ve excluded any Mega evolutions and secondary variants. It’s important to note that we used the Pokemon’s primary type to rank them. For example, Eternatus is also a Dragon-type but its Primary type is Poison thus we’ve ranked it as the strongest Poison-type.

Miraidon and Koraidon are the two new additions to the list as the main Legendary Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet. Miraidon grabs the spot for strongest Fighting-type, dethroning Zamazenta in the process. Meanwhile, Koraidon outranks Zeraora as the strongest Electric-type.
