The Overwatch 2 League Finals have been and gone, and the ultra-competitive action is all wrapped up. In the process, Blizzard revealed Ramattra, a brand-new Hero, that will expand the roster size to 36 and counting.
So let’s take a look at everything we know about Ramattra, Overwatch 2’s latest Hero.
Ramattra Overwatch 2 Hero release date
The new Hero is set to drop on December 6, 2022, which will also coincide with the release date of Overwatch Season 2 which is set to introduce a new Battle Pass, a new map, and a ton of other content.
Ramattra Overwatch 2 Hero class
Blizzard have confirmed that Ramattra is a Tank class character, and as we edge closer to Season 2’s release, we are getting more and more information on the new Hero, including a full origins story video for Ramattra.
The sizable character will join the likes of Reinhardt, Junker Queen, and Roadhog as one of the game’s high-HP beasts designed to inflict and take a lot of damage.
Ramattra Overwatch 2 Hero how to unlock
In order to unlock Ramattra in the forthcoming season of Overwatch 2, fans of the game will need to reach Level 55 in the Season 2 Battle Pass and it will be one of the Free Tiers.

Ramattra Overwatch 2 Hero abilities
Thanks to an official reveal made by Blizzard Entertainment, here’s a breakdown of Ramattra’s abilities in Overwatch 2:
Ramattra has two forms, Omnic and Nemesis, Omnic being the base form. In each form, Ramattra has access to different abilities.
Void Accelerator (Omnic form)
- Primary fire: Fire a stream of projectiles in a fixed pattern.
- Secondary fire: Create a barrier at the targeted location.
Pummel (Nemesis form)
- Primary fire: Punch forward, creating a wave of energy with every swing.
- Secondary fire: Significantly reduces damage taken from the front and reduces movement speed.
Fire a nano ball, which explodes when it hits the ground, spreading a damaging field. Affected enemies are also slowed and pulled downward.
Create a spreading swarm of nanobots that creep out in front of you, dealing damage and reducing enemy damage dealt by 50%.
