Overwatch 2 is finally here, and server issues can be extremely frustrating when they prevent you from playing. Here’s everything you need to know about Overwatch 2’s server status and how to check if they’re down.
Overwatch 2 is unique in that it’s a sequel that completely replaces the original, carrying over Heroes, progression, and all of players’ skins and cosmetics if they merge their accounts.
With the free-to-play Overwatch 2 now live, hundreds of thousands of players are logging in for the first time and there’s a high chance they’ll experience server issues such as queues, connection problems, or the servers being down completely.
With Overwatch 2 here, we’ve got everything you need to know about the game’s server status and how to check if there are any issues.
Are Overwatch 2 servers down?
Overwatch 2’s servers are now live as of 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST on October 4.
While the launch wasn’t the smoothest, with multiple DDoS attacks on the game’s servers causing massive connection issues and long queue times, the devs put out some fixes and issued a planned server downtime which seems to have fixed the issues.
Thanks to these fixes to login issues and long queue times, the servers are now up and running smoothly, and players shouldn’t encounter any problems, at least for now.
How to check the Overwatch 2 server status
