Modern Warfare 2’s “most underrated” Assault Rifle kills faster than SMGs at close-range
Modern Warfare 2’s Season 2 Reloaded update shook up the meta, and players as well as a Call of Duty expert have revealed the “most underrated” Assault Rifle that’s faster than most SMGs.
With the Season 2 Reloaded update underway, the Modern Warfare 2 meta has undergone changes thanks to the recent buffs and nerfs to existing weapons as well as the addition of the new Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle.
While there are plenty of powerful meta weapons that you can use to dish out serious pain in Season 2 Reloaded, Modern Warfare 2 players are praising one particular gun that has remained untouched by the update.
Reddit user ‘Ayn_Otori’ started a thread in the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit, asking players what their favorite “non-meta” weapons are, and a lot of praise from multiple users was directed at the Chimera Assault Rifle.
One user explained: “Benefit of the Chimera is no skulls when killing enemies. If you have a good flank you can take out a handful of guys at once because they don’t notice as quickly that their teammates are dying.”
The Chimera currently has a pick rate of 1.3% according to WZRanked, and one player in the thread described this Assault Rifle as the “most underrated gun in the game.” Another commenter explained that they were stunned by how the weapon “fries.”
A few users pointed out that landing headshots with the Chimera will showcase exactly how powerful this weapon is, as its TTK is extremely fast. This Assault Rifle also received praise from Modern Warfare 2 expert ‘WhosImmortal.’
While revealing the best class setups in Season 2 Reloaded, WhosImmortal described the Chimera as a “super aggressive” gun that’s great for both close and medium-range fights. He explained that the weapon has a “faster TTK than quite a few of the SMGs in the game.”
So, if you’re looking for a powerful weapon that’s capable of eliminating enemies extremely fast in Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded then it might be worth giving the Chimera Assault Rifle a try.
