Modern Warfare 2 guru reveals top tips to instantly improve at Ranked Play
A Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play expert has revealed his top tips for players trying to rank up in the competitive mode.
It’s certainly not an easy feat to grind and reach the top Skill Divisions in Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play. Not only does it require a lot of individual skill, but also great teamwork.
With that said, you can definitely help your team out and win more games by improving your personal performance.
Of course, optimizing your settings and using the best loadouts for Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play can help, but there are some other tips that the Call of Duty League‘s LA Guerrillas can help you out with.
You won’t want to pass up advice from a Call of Duty League team, and a recent TikTok revealed “3 Ranked Play mistakes” that players are making. Correcting these mistakes and following the advice of the LA Guerrillas could lead to an increase in your overall performance.
Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play tips
First off, the pro team advises players to stop using 120 FOV, but instead change it to 105. According to the expert, 120 FOV makes enemies “too small,” while 105 doesn’t just make it easier to see enemies, but also makes “recoil easier to control.” They also claim that this lower FOV provides you with “more aim assist.”
The second tip is “stutter aim,” which is rapidly aiming in and out when you’re watching a line of sight or awaiting enemies. This is a great tip, as in Modern Warfare 2, if you ADS for a long period of time, you will experience some pretty off-putting gun sway.
This prevents the sway from putting you off your target, allowing you to hit your shots when you need to in Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play.
Lastly, LA Guerrillas also recommend moving your left stick diagonally towards the bottom left when aiming, as according to the pro team, this will increase the strength of aim assist by slowing your aim when near enemies which makes tracking “effortless.”
