Shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom allow players to get useful rewards while learning how the new Zonai devices work. Here’s the Ishodag Shrine location and how to complete its puzzle titled “A Windy Device.”

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom blew players away by introducing tons of new things to do on a map that already had many different areas and features to explore. Whether you’re looking for a specific set of armor or you need help choosing your next objective, you won’t feel bored in TOTK.

Shrines are once again an important part of the experience, and most of them test players with intricate puzzles. This time around, most puzzles are focused on the use of the newly introduced Zonai devices. Let’s go through everything you need to know about the Ishodag Shrine, including its location and solution.

Ishodag Shrine location in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Ishodag Shrine is located in the Central Hyrule Region, northwest of Lookout Landing. It’s probably one of the first Shrines players will encounter once they reach the surface, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding it. The Shrine is on a hill right between Carok Bridge and Quarry Ruins. The exact coordinates are -0880, 0422, 0049.

You can access the Shrine by climbing the mountain until you find a rock sticking out of an edge. You can use Ascend there to reach the Shrine.

As you can guess from the title, this Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Shrine will teach you different uses for the Zonai fan. The first thing you need to do is use a fan to reach the stairs that lead into the main chamber.

For that, you need to use Ultrahand on the Zonai fan and place it near the wall you need to climb. Rotate it using the R button and place it on the ground facing up. Hit the fan to activate it and then jump on it and use the Paraglider to fly up.

Passing the stairs you’ll find the main puzzle. All you have to do is attach the fan to the wooden panel to create a propelled raft. Use Ultrahand again to place your new contraption on the water, jump in, and activate the fan to move forward.

Treasure chest location

Once you cross the water, you’ll be one step closer to completion. Before heading to the elevator, look to your right and you’ll see a chest upside down and attached to a moving platform. You need to attach a fan right under the chest, on the opposite side of the platform. Once you activate it by hitting it with an arrow, it should make the platform accessible.

To finally reach the chest, grab another fan and place it on the floor to use the Paraglider. Ride the wind up to reach the platform and get an Opal from the chest.

Once you do that, get both fans back and place them facing down at the sides of the elevator. You can also place them underneath. Hitting any point of the elevator with a weapon will activate the fans, and you’ll be propelled up so you can reach the end of the Shrine.

There you have it, another Shrine done. For more Tears of the Kingdom content, check out our other guides:
