How to vote for playlists in Modern Warfare 2
Modern Warfare 2 developers Infinity Ward are giving players the chance to choose which playlists are added to multiplayer, so here’s how you can vote and have your say.
Modern Warfare 2 launched with a varied selection of game modes and maps to keep players busy in the opening weeks, including new additions Prisoner Rescue and Knockout.
Each major update since has added new classic maps, such as Shipment and Shoot House, which has opened the door for popular playlists like Shoot the Ship to make a comeback. The devs also like to keep players engaged with weekly playlist updates.
Now, Infinity Ward have announced that players will be able to choose the playlists added to multiplayer, so here’s how to vote for playlists in Modern Warfare 2.
How to vote for Modern Warfare 2 playlists
Players can choose new Modern Warfare 2 playlists on Infinity Ward’s official Twitter page. The devs will be posting a new community vote every month where fans can have their say on what should be added to multiplayer for the following week.
This could be a poll with multiple options, or an opportunity to reply in the comments and outline a specific combination to be made into a unique playlist.
For example, in the January vote the options were simply Shipment, Shoot House, or Shoot the Ship, whereas in March fans could build their own Moshpit playlist with any combination of maps and game modes.
The community vote will only affect the playlist choice for that specific week, while the remaining updates in each month will still be chosen by the developers themselves.
Although the devs still have control over which playlists are included in the vote, this is an ideal chance for the community to ensure that the most popular modes come back to Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer regularly.
