Apex Legends is one of the most popular free-to-play games on the market, offering fast-paced gameplay with unique character abilities. Since the game is developed by Electronic Arts, you’ll need to link your active account to your EA account, so here’s how to do so.

Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale made by Respawn Entertainment, which is an EA studio. This means that you’ll need to link your platform’s account to your EA account if you want to play online and save your progress.

Apex Legends has both cross-platform play as well as cross-progression, which means that you’ll be able to play on the same account on multiple platforms. So, if you want to link your EA account to your platform account, here’s how to do so.

Apex Legends is available on multiple platforms, but you must link your EA account.

On your platform

  1. Open Apex Legends on your PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch.
  2. Upon booting the game up, you will be asked to sign into the EA servers.
  3. Enter the email address and password for your primary EA Account when you’re asked to log in.
  4. Once you’ve signed in, your accounts will be linked.

On EA Help

  1. Click Log In at the top of the help.ea.com page.
  2. Choose the option to sign in using your platform credentials.
  3. Fill in the login details from your platform in the pop-up.
  4. All set! Your accounts are linked.

How can I check if I’ve linked my account?

You can see if you’ve linked your accounts before by checking your About Me page on myaccount.ea.com.

Any Xbox Gamertags and PlayStation Network Online IDs that are linked to your EA Account will show under Connected Accounts. Connected Switch Accounts won’t show here.

An EA Account can only have one of each platform account linked at a time. This means that you can’t link an EA Account to two PlayStation Network IDs. Instead, you’ll need to create a new EA Account to link to your additional platform accounts. If you try to link additional accounts, you’ll get a message that says Linked accounts found.

If you already have multiple platform accounts linked to an EA Account, they’ll stay linked, but you won’t be able to add more. We suggest choosing your preferred accounts when you link them together.

You may wish to unlink your EA and Apex profile to change their linked account.

You can unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account if you wish to link them to a different EA Account, as long as your EA Account has never had the same account type linked to it before.

All your EA game progress is linked to your EA Account, not your platform account. That means if you do end up deciding to unlink your persona from one account to link it to another, you’ll lose your game progress.

If you’re having trouble doing any of this, head over to the EA website for further help.
