Rockstar’s rumored GTA Remastered Trilogy has appeared on a Korean rating board, and it’s been assigned an official rating based on its content.

One of gaming’s worst-kept secrets might be on the horizon as the long-rumored Grand Theft Auto Remastered Trilogy might be one step closer to reality after being discovered on a Korean rating board.

It goes without saying that most fans are praying for GTA VI to be announced by Rockstar so that another rerelease of GTA V can be overlooked. However, a fully-fledged remaster of the original PS2-era GTA games would also appease them too.

It was way back in January 2021 that rumors first started making waves across the internet, and we approach the end of 2021, a Korean rating board may have finally put some doubts about its existence to rest.

We have evidence of this rating reported by trusted Grand Theft Auto leaker and breaker of news regarding key Rockstar games – Tez2.

He tweeted: “‘Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition’ has been rated on the Korean rating board.”

Thankfully a commenter on the main thread was able to convert the whole page into English for those who can’t understand the text.

What is the official name of the GTA Remastered Trilogy?

The game’s official title seems to be ‘Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition,’ and the game is not intended for youths.

This is to be expected and going off the ratings of the majority of the franchise. We’d expect the game to be given an 18+ rating or M-Rated like the rest of the games in the franchise.

Sadly, it doesn’t mention a release date, so unless another leak comes to the fore, we will have to wait for official word from Rockstar games.
