When is the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update?

After the Pride of the Valley update, we can expect the next major Update 5 for Disney Dreamlight Valley to drop sometime in June 2023. Although the developers have not hinted at any specific dates yet, we know there will be potentially new characters, a new Star Path, new quests, recipes, and much more.

A new teapot based on the Mad Tea Party will be added in-game in June. Fans will recall the Mad Tea Party is from the iconic Alice in Wonderland franchise and this might pave the way for other characters like Alice, or the Mad Hatter to show up sometime in the future.

The roadmap contains new characters, realms, and possibly multiplayer.

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, we do not have a scheduled date for the next upcoming Update 5 but by the looks of the early access roadmap, we have a few things in mind.

The Forgetting, mystery house & new character

According to the roadmap, the early summer update will finally unveil the mystery behind The Forgetting, and it’s been teased as “a princess races to the Valley.”

There is a pumpkin house in the Forgotten Lands and it is impossible to access it. Currently, the devs have narrowed down the update time to June 2023. Therefore, it’s safe to say that whoever lives in the house is sure to come out with Update 5 in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Currently, players cannot get in the pumpkin house and the owner hasn’t been spotted yet. However, it is perfectly lit and surrounded by green flames.

The mystery house has already got fans excited and curious. We know that Cinderella’s fairy godmother turned the simple pumpkin into a beautiful carriage. Cinderella might be trapped in her realm because of The Forgetting and she might be the one that’s coming in with the next major content update in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

That’s not all, with Update 5, we will also be getting a new Mannequin item in-game and this will allow you to change into your favorite outfits after interacting with them. All you need to do is click on the interact option and you will find two more options: Wear and Edit. If you click on the first one, you will be able to change into the outfit.

The Touch of Magic is a tool that lets players customize their outfits.

In another tweet, the devs revealed an artisanal bench which compelled players to ask for an increase in the item limit. As it turns out, the idea is under consideration, and we might see it arriving in the early summer update.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Update 5 theme teased

Disney Dreamlight Valley has posted a series of tweets teasing the upcoming content in Update 5:

According to the tweet above, DDV players will be able to “place multiple player houses” in the valley following the release of Update 5. However, we still don’t know if the interiors of these houses will be identical or unique.

However, the most talked about teaser is the tweet talking about “familiar, but Forgotten places.” This means that Update 5 is either about the Forgotten Lands or we’ll get a quest that revolves around Forgetting. Considering how extensive Disney Dreamlight Valley updates have been in the past, it won’t be a surprise if we get both of these things in the upcoming patch.

Thanks to the tweets mentioned above, players are excited for Update 5 which will allow them to express their creativity by customizing pieces of furniture around the valley. Although we are yet to see if the same tool will allow them to customize it, fans are hopeful for the upcoming update.
