We are getting closer to Ultimate Football League, the new football game that promises to compete with eFootball and EA FC 24. Check out everything you need to know about the UFL, including the licenses confirmed so far and the expected platforms.

Ultimate Football League was announced in 2016 as the game that would compete with eFootball and EA FC 24. However, delays have proven to be a significant hurdle for a community eagerly anticipating the chance to play another football title.

Developed by Strikerz Inc, UFL’s devs have announced multiple instances of alpha testing, but a release date still seems far away.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new Ultimate Football League, including the possible UFL release date, expected platforms, and confirmed licenses up to now.

Is there a release date for Ultimate Football League?

There is still no official release date for Ultimate Football League. The highly anticipated game from Strikerz Inc. was initially scheduled to be released in 2022, and then was delayed to December 2023; however, a new delay has postponed the date until further notice.

While the last date marked on the calendar pointed to December 2023, the devs decided to postpone the game’s release, but not the Closed Alpha release. That has allowed many players to test UFL’s Alpha version getting valuable feedback from the community.

UFL expected platforms

Strikerz Inc. have not confirmed which platforms Ultimate Football League will be available on. However, it’s expected that, at launch, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as on PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. These speculations are based on responses to various comments that the devs address daily on the official UFL X account.

PC Players need not be discouraged because, although UFL won’t be available at launch, the devs have mentioned that they are also working to bring the new game to PC, but console development is their initial priority.

Will Ultimate Football League be free-to-play?

Yes, Ultimate Football League will be free to play. This was one of the initial announcements made by the developers when they started the UFL project in 2016. This means football fans can play without spending a single penny.

Currently, the game is in its Alpha version, which means that we can expect more details soon regarding the possible Beta release window.

All UFL licenses so far

Ultimate Football League is partnered with FIFPro, granting them permission to use the names and aspects of over 65,000 players. Additionally, several teams such as West Ham United, Sporting CP, Borussia Monchengladbach, and many more have announced their presence in the game on their social media platforms.

In addition, some players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku, and Oleksandr Zinchenko have become UFL ambassadors, and thanks to the developers, we can already see how these players look in the game.

That’s everything you need to know about Ultimate Football League. We’ll make sure to update this page once Strikerz Inc. make new announcements regarding the release date or the game’s features.
