Tekken 8 is confirmed to receive post-launch DLC characters, and a recent leak has suggested that additional story content could also be coming to the game in the future.

Tekken 8 arrived with a ton of content for players to dive into, including the new Arcade Quest mode and character episodes for its entire roster. The game also features an action-packed story mode that provides a fitting conclusion to the Mishima saga.

It sees Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima clash heads once again, with the latter chasing global domination. The story’s ending depends on how the final battle turns out, and there’s also a post-credits scene that offers a major hint at future events.

While the story mode attracted praise for its production quality and spectacular final showdown, some of its elements were rather ambiguous and lacked a proper explanation. A primary example of this is the presence of Jun Kazama, who has been presumed dead since Tekken 3.

There is no official information on whether these loose ends will get tied up, but a recent leak has provided datamined footage of story cutscenes that could be part of future story DLC.

These leaks popped up on Reddit and made their way to X before being taken down by the devs. Before we get into them, consider this a spoiler warning for Tekken 8 story content.

The datamined footage included two cutscenes, and one of them displayed Jun getting revived. Besides this, the leaks also had images of Leo meeting their father and a full image of Devil Reina’s character model.

The cutscene featuring Jun seemed to confirm that she managed to hide from Ogre and has been alive for a while. While the image of Devil Reina suggests that her Devil form could arrive as a playable character in the future, or maybe as an alternate costume.

There’s always the possibility that all this is just content left on the cutting floor, but fans will be hoping that it gets utilized as a side-story DLC for Tekken 8.
