Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is available on current-gen consoles and PC, and if you’re wondering whether the game is also on Steam Deck, here’s all you need to know.

Ubisoft’s adaption of James Cameron’s record-setting world of Pandora, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, is following in the movie’s footsteps by being canon and featuring just as gorgeous visuals.

Unlike movies, however, you’ll need more than a flat screen to run Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and its PC requirements are on the high-end side. Steam Deck remains one of the most powerful handhelds, but is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora available on Valve’s handheld?

Here’s everything you need to know about playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on the Steam Deck.

Can you play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on Steam Deck?

No, you can’t play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on the Steam Deck, as it is not available on Steam and is exclusive to the Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store for PC.

There is a workaround, and you can indeed install Ubisoft Connect on Steam Deck. But, even if you do install Ubisoft Connect and try to play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, it is unlikely that the game will run smoothly if it runs at all. That’s because of the system requirements, and Valve’s handheld likely won’t be able to handle it.

The only way it is possible is if Ubisoft decides to port it to Steam Deck and gets a Steam Deck Verified badge from Valve. The chances of it are very low, as most Ubisoft games don’t even launch on Steam in the first place.

Some Ubisoft games do find their way onto the storefront a few years after the release, but the larger issue with Avatar remains its system requirements. The best bet is to just wait for Steam Deck 2 and see if it is powerful enough to run it.
