Alan Wake 2, the sequel to the beloved 2010 title, will be hitting shelves soon. For players excited to jump into Remedy’s mystical universe, here’s how to preload Alan Wake 2, including the game’s file size.

Alan Wake 2 continues the intriguing tale of its titular character who has been trapped in the Dark Place for 13 years. The survival horror game is easily among the biggest AAA releases of 2023 and will be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 27. Besides the best-selling novelist, players will also take control of a brand new character named Saga Anderson.

The FBI agent visits Bright Falls to investigate a series of strange murders with things eventually taking a nightmarish turn. The game also features two realities that present two different perspectives for players to play through.

Alan Wake 2: How to preload

Players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can preload Alan Wake 2 by locating the game in their games library, or by going to Alan Wake 2’s digital store page. A preload option for PC players remains unconfirmed as of now. It’s important to remember that players must pre-order Alan Wake 2’s digital edition in order to pre-load the game.
