Genshin Impact: Is the Eula banner worth your Primogems?

Eula was released in Genshin Impact over two years which is why players can be skeptical about her damage-dealing potential. Here’s everything to know about Eula in Genshin Impact and if you should spend your Primogems on her banner during the first phase of version 3.8.

Damage dealers are the bread and butter of any Genshin Impact team. You might have the best support characters but they are of no use without a damage dealer that can deal thousands of damage in a single hit.

Eula, a five-star Claymore character like Diluc, is a dedicated main damage dealer in Genshin Impact. Thanks to her abilities, Eula is useful only when she’s on the field and despite the Cryo element, she’s not the best for Vaporize and Melt teams.

In this Genshin Impact guide, we’ll talk about Eula’s banner and if you should be spending your Primogems on it.

All Eula banners in Genshin Impact so far

Eula has been a part of the following banners in Genshin Impact:

  • Born of Ocean Swell featuring Eula, Xinyan, Xingqiu, and Beidou from May 18 to June 8 in 2021
  • Born of Ocean Swell featuring Eula, Bennett, Noelle, and Rosaria from November 24 to December 14 in 2021
  • Born of Ocean Swell featuring Eula, Mika, Razor, and Thoma from July 5 to July 26 in 2023

Eula has finally returned to Genshin Impact with the 3.8 update and her banner also features some exciting four-star characters.

Is Eula a powerful damage dealer in Genshin Impact?

Long story short, Eula is easily one of the most powerful damage dealers in Genshin Impact. Do note that she deals Physical damage which is very different from elemental damage through reactions.

Eula’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst grant her resistance to interruption and faster attack speed. As a result, her playstyle feels faster than other Claymore users in the game.

The best way to use Eula is by placing her in a Superconduct team. Combine Electro and Cryo to trigger this reaction and decrease the Physical RES of your opponents significantly. Then, use Eula’s skill and her massive Physical DMG should shred them in seconds.

To make Eula unstoppable, pair her with an Electro support like Raiden Shogun, a strong shielder like Zhongli, and a healer/support like Diona and Rosaria.

The four-piece Pale Flame artifact set is ideal for Eula as it buffs Physical DMG and ATK. Alternatively, you can pair the two-piece Pale Flame with two pieces of Bloodstained Chivalry and Emblem of Severed Fate.

All in all, if you’re looking for a physical damage dealer in Genshin Impact, spending Primogems on the Eula banner is a no-brainer. However, if you like triggering elemental reactions and want your party to include the newest characters, you might want to wait for banners featuring Dendro characters.

Four-star characters in Eula’s banner

The four-star characters in Eula’s banner are:

Mika

Mika in Genshin Impact is a dedicated support character for Physical damage dealers like Eula. He grants a Physical DMG bonus, Physical Crit DMG, and ATK Speed, and all these stats are highly beneficial for a Physical Claymore damage dealer.

At C6, Mika can increase the damage of Eula’s normal attack and Ultimate simultaneously which is as good as it sounds.

Razor

Razor uses a Claymore and deals Physical damage in Genshin Impact like Eula. He’s one of the oldest characters in the game and can make the most out of the attack buffs provided by Mika. Razor definitely cannot compete with other five-star damage dealers but is a brilliant choice for beginners as well as players who like his simple play style.

Thoma

Thoma is a supporting character in Genshin Impact who can apply Pyro to opponents while making shields. His shields aren’t the strongest and is arguably the weakest character in Eula’s banner.

Regardless of Thoma’s underwhelming abilities, both Razor and Mika are brilliant. If you’re willing to unlock Eula, getting a tailor-made support like Mika is a great strategy to further boost the damage output of your team. For all these reasons, we believe that Eula’s banner can be easily worth your Primogems.
