Does Dead Island 2 have character customization?
Dead Island 2 is finally here, letting players take on the zombie hordes of LA with brutal first-person combat. To look as stylish as possible while taking on the undead, you might wonder whether there is character customization. Here’s everything you need to know.
One of the most-anticipated games of 2023, Dead Island 2 has finally arrived. In your quest to rid Los Angeles of undead, you’ll need to think up creative, brutal, and stylish ways to take them down.
If you want to add a personal touch to your Slayer, here’s everything you need to know about character customization in Dead Island 2.
Is there Dead Island 2 character customization?
No, Dead Island 2 doesn’t feature character customization. You must pick from one of six pre-made Slayers: Amy, Bruna, Carla, Dani, Jacob, and Ryan.
These Slayers come with their abilities pre-picked, and although they can be upgraded and altered through Skill Cards, you can’t create your own character to take on Hell-A.
Can you change outfits in Dead Island 2?
The Neurunner Amy skin is exclusive to Character Pack 2.Dead Island 2 does allow you to change the slayers’ outfits but it’s limited to the Character Packs that come with the Gold and Deluxe Editions. These Character Packs give the ‘Rodeo Sunset’ Outfit for Jacob and ‘Neurunner’ for Amy.
So while you won’t be able to collect unique outfits as you can in games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Resident Evil 4, you can get a couple of different looks for Jacob and Amy through Character Packs 1 & 2 by purchasing the Gold and Deluxe Editions.
While their outfits can be changed, you won’t be able to individually change their hairstyle or makeup. While it’s a shame you can’t give Ryan a handlebar mustache, the game is in first-person, and the only people who will see your character are your co-op pals.
