After a long hiatus, Dead Island 2 is finally here, bringing co-op zombie mayhem and a new story in which players are given six different main characters that they can play as while battling the undead.
Throughout your Dead Island 2 experience, you’ll be able to find multiple keys that unlock rewards for you to collect. If you’re wondering where to find Curtis’ safe key then we’ve got you covered.
Where to find Dead Island 2 Curtis safe key?
You can grab the Dead Island 2 Curtis safe key after defeating a zombie named ‘Crystal the Lawyer’ at Curtis’ house. Before you can do that, you have to progress the story up to the ‘Justifiable Zombicide’ quest.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Progress the Dead Island 2 story up to the ‘Justifiable Zombicide’ quest.
- Visit Curtis’ house in Bel-Air.
- Battle and defeat Crystal the Lawyer.
- Collect Curtis’ safe key after Crystal the Lawyer drops it.
Crystal the Lawyer will hit you with an echo attack that you should try to avoid as you get your hits in. It’s worth keeping in mind that this zombie does not drop the key every time, and it’s unclear if this is a feature or the result of a strange glitch.

After you’ve acquired the key, you can open the locked safe that’s inside the wardrobe on the east side of Curtis’ house. Doing so allowed us to collect a rare Tactical Heavy Revolver from the safe.
