Red and Antea ascending a ghost

Don’t Nod’s RPG will lead players throughout a story that can have different outcomes depending on their choices. Here are all the endings in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and how to get them.

In Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, you’ll follow Red and Antea, a couple of ghost hunters who are trying to lift the curse of New Eden. However, Antea dies and becomes a ghost, and you’ll need to decide to keep your banisher’s oath or resurrect her.

As their journey continues, the couple of Banishers will need to solve many hauntings, where you’ll get to decide either to Banish or Blame the subject of each case. As with most RPGs, this will determine which of the game’s endings you’ll get.

If you want to know how to get every ending in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, here’s everything you need to do.

How to unlock all endings in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden has four endings in total, and they will depend on how you solve the game’s hauntings and how well you respect your banisher’s oath. Here’s every outcome you can get at the end of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.

  • Ascend oath fulfilled: Red has to swear to Antea that he’ll Ascend her, and then manage to Banish/Ascend most ghosts in New Eden. This is considered the best ending, since Red peacefully ascends Antea’s ghost, and they both get closure from their adventure. Red eventually recovers and teaches everything he has learned from Antea to his apprentices.
  • Ascend oath partially fulfilled: You’ll get this ending if Red promises to Ascend Antea but Blame too many people. While Antea gets to Ascend, this decision leaves Red unable to mourn properly and overwhelmed by the murders he committed.
Banishers have to decide either to Ascend or Blame the living in each case
You’ll always get the option to either Blame, Ascend, or Banish in all your cases.
  • Resurrection oath fulfilled: To get this ending, you’ll need to vow to resurrect Antea no matter what it takes and Blame every living person. Antea is successfully resurrected and reunites with Red, but they never recover from the adventure and leave New Eden haunted by all the murders Red committed trying to bring her back.
  • Oath failed: If you pick the Ascend oath and Blame too many people, or pick the Resurrection oath and Ascend too many ghosts, then you’ll get the “Oath failed” ending. This is the worst ending of all, since Red fails to fulfill his promises and Seeker has to intervene to help. However, Deborah’s ghosts will return to their Retribution Nightmare form and attack her. As a punishment for Red, he’s sent back in time to complete his journey again.
