Is Forza Motorsport coming to PlayStation consoles?
Turn 10 Studio’s soft reboot Forza Motorsport revamps, adds, and improves many features over the original game to make the sim racer more realistic. PlayStation fans may be curious if Forza Motorsport will be available on PS5, so here is what you need to know about it.
While Gran Turismo has served as a mainstream racing game for quite a while, it shares a ton of similarities with Forza Motorsport. They both often boast unique strengths and have different weaknesses that make for totally different experiences.
The latest Forza Motorsport installment is more of an RPG, which allows it to have a proper sense of progression. That alone would incite many Gran Turismo 7 players, but if PlayStation 5 is all you play games on, you might have a question or two about Forza Motorsport’s availability on it.
So here is everything we know about Forza Motorsport’s availability on PlayStation.
Is Forza Motorsport coming to PlayStation 5?
No, Forza Motorsport is not on PlayStation. Microsoft have listed all the platforms and storefronts Forza Motorsport is available on and there is no mention of PlayStation 4 or 5.
Much like Grand Turismo being unavailable for Xbox, Forza is without a PlayStation 5 port. We’ve only ever had a few platform exclusives that later made their way to rival platforms, and it is even rarer when a game is developed by in-house studios, like Turn 10 Studios for Forza Motorsport.
Forza as a franchise has been core to the Xbox brand, much like the Halo series. The first ever Forza game, Forza Motorsport (2005), was exclusive to Xbox and was created to compete with Sony and Gran Turismo. So it rules out all possibilities for the foreseeable future.
