Epic Games have finally confirmed that Season 8 will be the last in Fortnite Chapter 2, and the grand finale is right around the corner. Here’s how you can watch Fortnite’s The End event ahead of Chapter 3.

Fortnite Chapter 2 is coming to a close, and it’s time for players to prepare for The End. Epic have officially confirmed that the battle with the Cube Queen will spell the end for this era of the battle royale.

The change from Chapter 2 to Chapter 3 will happen after The End event, which all of Season 8 has been building towards.

We’ll have to wait and see if the rumors about the black hole from Season 1 returning are true, but here’s how you can see the chaos unfold for yourself.

Fortnite Chapter 2 The End event date

Marking the finale of Fortnite Chapter 2, The End event takes place on Saturday, December 4 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET / 9 PM GMT.

Unlike previous live events held in Fortnite, this will be a one-off spectacle that won’t be replayed at a later time, because Chapter 3 starts shortly after.

Epic have urged anyone who wants to relieve the event after it goes live should “take steps to record and archive their experience.”

The End will bring Season 8 to a close a day earlier than expected. But don’t worry, players who log in before the end of the season will receive 225,000 XP to make up for it.

You can watch The End by dropping into the event-specific playlist. Simply load up the game and hit the option for “The End.”

The playlist will go live 30 minutes before it kicks off for players to prepare to watch the destruction.

Parties of up to 16 players can join, up from the usual four, so you bring the whole squad along for what is sure to be a huge moment in Fortnite lore.

That was everything you need to know about how to watch the Chapter 2 finale, The End.

It’s worth remembering that Punchcard Quests and Gold Bars don’t carry over. So, be sure to grind out any objectives and burn through those bars before heading into Chapter 3.
