The Fortnite Ride the Lightning Mythic guitar can be found inside chests or in Guitar stands that you can loot. Other than that, enemies will also drop this item when you eliminate them, if they’ve previously acquired the item in the game.

The Ride the Lightning Mythic Guitar can be found at the following locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3:

• Nitrodrome
• Restored Reels
• Lavish Lair
• Reckless Railways
• Grand Glacier
• Mount Olympus
• Pea Bois HQ

There’s also a Metallica Questline, which the first step of will require you to find the Ride the Lightning Guitar. If you track this quest, it’ll show you the locations mentioned above.

These locations aside, you will also come across this item in chests, but the chances are pretty low.

How to use the Ride the Lightning Mythic in Fortnite

There’s just one fire mode for the Ride the Lightning Mythic in Fortnite. To use it, equip the item and then press the fire button (RT/R2 on consoles, LMB on PCs).

When you use this weapon, you’ll get three simultaneous air dashes and one ground slam. You can trigger all these in sequence by pressing the fire button on your controller/mouse.

If you’re playing solos, then this is all that you’ll see, but if you’re in a squad, the Mythic ability will allow your teammates to ride the Lightning that you create all the way untill the end where you slam on the ground.

You can deal a lot of area-of-effect damage with the slam. If you manage to land on an enemy player, it’s an instant elimination.
