Fortnite’s 20.10 Hotfix update unvaulted Jetpacks in the battle royale, and here’s how you can get your hands on them in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2.

The 20.10 patch was the first major update of Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2, bringing a plethora of changes to the game. A week later, the fan-favorite Jetpack was unvaulted as part of April 12’s 20.10 Hotfix.

The return was first hinted at in leaks back in February, and now they’re available in the game. If you want to get your hands on one of them, then we’ve got you covered with everything that you need to know.

You can grab a Jetpack from any of the IO Blimps that are currently floating around the island. These flying airships have been stationed by the IO around numerous POIs on the map so zip up and look for them along the walls.

Here are all the Blimp locations in Fortnite:

  • Tilted Towers
  • Coney Crossroads
  • Condo Canyon
  • Command Cavern
  • The Daily Bugle
  • Rocky Reels

It’s also been reported that some NPCs can sell you a Jetpack but we’re not sure who’s offering one yet. In the meantime, you can check out all of the character locations, including those that will sell you an item.

How to fly with a Jetpack in Fortnite

Once you have a Jetpack in your inventory, all you have to do is press the jump button then press it again and hold it. As long as you hold the button, the Jetpack will keep you hovering in the air — but only for as long as it has power!

Jetpacks have also received an upgrade since their last appearance, where they will now “hover and strafe when you’re aiming-down-sights, allowing you to keep your eyes in the sky while lining up a shot.”
