Is Fortnite getting a Darth Vader skin? Leaks & release date rumors
New leaks suggest that Epic Games are planning to add iconic Star Wars villain Darth Vader to Fortnite, and here’s everything we know about this crossover, including all leaks and rumors.
There has been a plethora of fun crossover content in Fortnite, with fictional characters like Spider-Man and popular real-life figures like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson joining the battle royale as playable skins.
We’ve also seen characters from the Star Wars series arrive in the game, such as the bounty hunter Boba Fett. Now, some new leaks are suggesting that Epic Games might have plans to add Darth Vader as well.
Is Darth Vader coming to Fortnite?
The Fortnite developers unveiled the Chapter 3, Season 3 cinematic intro during the State of Unreal showcase on April 5, 2022. One of the monitors at the event showcased a series of folders.

These were then captured by reliable leaker ‘iFireMonkey’ who zoomed into the image to see what was inside these folders. In their tweet, the leaker pointed out that one of the folders was named “C3S3_Vader.”
Darth Vader has been one of the most iconic fictional characters in media ever since his debut in the first Star Wars film back in 1977, and these leaks suggest that he might be making his way to Fortnite in Season 3.
This isn’t too difficult to believe, as Epic Games have brought plenty of Star Wars content to the battle royale before. The Mandalorian headlined the Season 5 Battle Pass, and characters like Rey also joined Fortnite.

Another notable leaker ‘ShiinaBR’ claims that Darth Vader is set to arrive in Chapter 3, Season 3 and will be found as a boss NPC on the island that players will be able to battle. This was corroborated by leaker ‘TaborTimeYT’ who leaked the arrival of Doctor Strange.
It’s possible that Darth Vader might arrive as part of the next season’s Battle Pass, or Epic Games could make his skin available via the in-game store. Hopefully, we’ll get more concrete information about this soon.
It’s worth keeping in mind that these are just leaks, so take them with a grain of salt until the developers officially announce Vader’s arrival. Fortnite Season 3 is set to begin on June 4, we’ll probably receive confirmation at some point before the release date.
