Gohan in Fortnite

Epic Games have announced yet another Dragon Ball Super crossover in Fortnite, delivering even more skins and items inspired by the popular anime for players to grab. This time, it’s Gohan and Piccolo’s turn to join the action.

Despite being in its fourth chapter, Fortnite remains just as popular as ever in 2023. This is thanks in no small part to the various crossovers it continues to deliver, with Chapter 4 Season 1 bringing My Hero Academia, The Kid LAROI, and The Witcher skins to name a few.

One of the biggest collaborations the battle royale has seen was with Dragon Ball Super way back in Chapter 3 Season 3, which saw anime icons like Goku and Vegeta make their long-awaited debut on the Fortnite island.

Now, in the Fortnite 23.30 update, Epic have revealed that Dragon Ball Super is coming back to the game for a second go-around, and it’s brought even more characters to the island

Fortnite Dragon Ball Super skins release date

In a Twitter post, Epic announced that the Dragon Ball Super skins will arrive in Fortnite on January 31, 2023, the same day as the 23.30 update is set to go live.

The servers usually go down at around 1 AM PT / 3 AM ET / 9 AM GMT, and sometimes stay offline for a few hours. However, once the servers go back up, the Fortnite Dragon Ball Super crossover will be in full swing.

What’s included in the Fortnite Dragon Ball Super crossover?

The latest Dragon Ball Super crossover in Fortnite brings fan-favorite characters Gohan and Piccolo to Fortnite for the first time. Goku’s son and his enemy-turned-friend were two of the biggest names to miss out last time, so anime lovers will be excited to see the pair arrive.

Both characters also come with their own Transform and Charging Up Emote, as well as a unique Back Bling and Glider.

This new collaboration also means that the Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud items have been added once again, giving players the chance to live out their Dragon Ball fantasies one more time. We’d also anticipate that the Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Bulma skins will return to the Item Shop eventually alongside the new characters.
