It’s another new era for Fortnite, with a brand-new map launched alongside new content like Reality Augments, Oathbound Chests, Trail Thrashers, and more.

With Hot Spots also returning this season, there are always going to be good POIs to drop at to get loot, although it’s likely that Hot Spots will be incredibly busy with opponents heading there too.

The Citadel

Located on the north-west side of the island, The Citadel has already become a popular drop for Fortnite fans.

Home to both Oathbound characters and chests, there’s plenty to see in this walled fortress. With plenty of loot and tight corridors, this drop is perfect for players who like to get into the action fast.

Slappy Shores

Slappy Shores may look fairly normal from the sky, but don’t let that put you off landing here. A small town with a huge factory, there are plenty of buildings filled with loot for you to work through, and it’s rare to leave this location without some decent loot in your inventory.

On top of that, there are quite a few vehicles littered around Slappy Shores too, which makes moving on to your next location even easier.

Faulty Splits

Tilted Towers is gone, but Faulty Splits carries on its legacy in Fortnite Chapter 4. Overrun with enemies every time you land here, this is the perfect spot for those who love close-quarters combat.

While it may not be quite as big as Tilted Towers, there is still plenty of loot to be found here, and its fairly central location gives plenty of rotation options depending on your circle.

Lonely Labs

Lonely Labs is in a little bit of an awkward spot, which makes its name pretty accurate. Up in the snowy north-east, this isn’t a super popular drop, so is perfect for those who like to take their time looting up and avoid action for as long as possible.

There are a couple of looting spots dotted around the Labs too, and you’re not too far away from Brutal Bastion either.

Frenzy Fields

If you look back on the farm from Chapter 1 with fond memories, then Frenzy Fields is the ideal drop for you. With multiple barns and lots of loot, this is an excellent drop at the south end of the island.

This area is pretty open too, so provides good sightlines for those who enjoy long-range gameplay. That works both ways though, so keep your eyes peeled for enemies picking you off from a distance.
