Fortnite 21.10 patch notes: Darth Vader lightsaber, Naruto, Super Styles
Fortnite’s first major update since the Chapter 3 Season 3 update is here, bringing Darth Vader’s Lightsaber, Battle Pass super skins, and Naruto Rivals! skins. Check out the full Fortnite 21.10 patch notes.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is now in full swing after bringing back the Baller and introducing new mechanics like rideable animals. There’s still a ton more content still to arrive, and the 21.10 update brings plenty of new content to the battle royale.
Included in this patch is Darth Vader’s lightsaber and Stormtrooper E-11 Blasters, along with special super skins for four of the Season 3 Battle Pass characters. Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite’s 21.10 update.
Darth Vader’s Lightsaber
The headline addition for Fortnite with this patch is the introduction of Darth Vader’s lightsaber, which Epic claim is a “force to be reckoned with.”
The Sith Lord is trying to take over the island, landing at different locations each match, along with some Stormtroopers for protection. Defeat Vader, and you can pick up his lightsaber, which blocks incoming fire, can be thrown like a boomerang at enemies, and of course, swing at those who dare stand in your way.
On top of that, players can also grab E-11 Stormtrooper Blasters in Imperial Chests at Vader landings sites, or from eliminated soldiers.
Battle Pass Super Styles
Each Fortnite Battle Pass includes brings Super Styles for the exclusive skins, and for Season 3, Evie, Adira, Sabrina Malik, and Stormfarer are all getting special looks titled Platinum Rift, Lapis Slurp, and Auric Blaze.
Players will need to reach Level 140 to start unlocking them.
Fortnite x Naruto Rivals! collaboration
Fortnite have confirmed another Naruto collaboration is on the way, with Fortnite x Naruto Rivals! arriving on June 23.
Thanks to dataminer HYPEX, we can take a look at the Itachi skin in-game, with more Naruto cosmetics set to be unveiled when the Rivals! event kicks off later this week.
Reality Sapling changes
Epic Games have also made some changes to the amount of Reality Fruit a Reality Sapling can grow. Depending on their rarity, Reality Saplings will now grow:
- 3 fruits when Uncommon or Rare
- 2 fruits when Epic
- 1 fruit when Legendary or Mythic

Fortnite 21.10 bug fixes
Thanks to Fortnite’s Trello board of Community Issues, we can see all of bug fixes that are scheduled to arrive in the next game update, which is 21.10.

Here are all of the Fortnite bug fixes confirmed to arrive in the 21.10 update:
- General Top Issues
- Evie’s belt sticks straight out for some players
- Battle Royale Top Issues
- Throwing a Reality Seed against sloped terrain may reset the age of Reality Sapling
- Creative Top Issues
- Armored walls are missing from the published islands
- Save the World Top Issues
- Players may not receive notifications while in game
- Survivors are missing in Rescue the Survivor missions
- Switch & Mobile Top Issues
- The parental Controls screen cannot be exited with a controller
