Is FF7 Rebirth coming to Steam Deck?

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will not be coming to Steam Deck at launch, as the new title will be released as a PlayStation exclusive. However, the devs may plan to port FF7 Rebirth to Steam Deck and PC after its initial release.

During a State of Play presentation, Final Fantasy devs Square Enix stated that the game will continue to be a PS5 exclusive for three months after its release, until at least May 29, 2024.

Its predecessor, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, arrived on PC almost two years after its initial release. However, when it finally arrived on PC, the port left players disappointed with several bugs and performance issues.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth fans will be hoping that the game’s port to Steam Deck will be smoother following Remake’s rough start. Thanks to several patches and bug fixes, the Steam version of Remake did eventually reach its intended high quality.
