All EA FC 25 Icons & Heroes leaked so far

EA FC 25 is set to bring back both Icon and Hero cards, letting fans add footballing legends and cult favorites to their Ultimate Team squad.

While the official reveal has confirmed one new face joining the roster, early leaks have also revealed some of the big names that are reportedly making their debut.

These cards tend to be some of the highest-rated in the game, so here are all of the EA FC 25 Heroes and Icons that have leaked so far, as well as the lineup from EA FC 24 that could return.

New Icons leaked

Gareth Bale (Wales)

Although he became a divisive figure towards the end of his career with Real Madrid, there’s no doubt that Wales’ Gareth Bale is one of the best wingers in recent memory. After bursting onto the scene with Southampton and later Spurs, he won everything there is to win with Los Blancos, including five Champions Leagues.

Just like Buffon, leaker ‘FGZNews’ has claimed that Bale is being tested as a new Icon. While this doesn’t guarantee that he’ll appear, he’d be a popular addition – especially among British players.

Julie Foudy

Following the arrival of women’s Icons in last season’s Ultimate Team, USA legend Julie Foudy is also being tested for EA FC 25 according to leaks. The midfielder represented her country 274 times throughout her glittering career, earning her a spot in the National Soccer Hall of Fame.

With EA Sports clearly looking to increase the representation of the women’s game with the arrival of a separate Career Mode, there would be no better time to add a true great of US football to the roster.

New EA FC 25 Icons confirmed

Gianluigi Buffon (Italy)

The first new Icon revealed for EA FC 25 is Italian legend Gianluigi Buffon. EA Sports confirmed the goalkeeper’s arrival via the Ultimate Edition cover.

Buffon is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers ever to grace the game, after making over 1,000 career appearances for Parma, Juventus, PSG, and the national team.

After hanging up his gloves in August 2023, fans have been desperate for the popular stopper to be added as an Icon. While his retirement came too late for inclusion in last year’s games, their wishes have been answered this time around.

New FC 25 Heroes leaked

Eden Hazard

Many might have expected him to be an Icon, but according to ‘Fut Scoreboard,’ Eden Hazard is being tested as the first new EA FC 25 Hero. The Belgian has gone as a Premier League great after winning two titles with Chelsea, before going on to claim a Champions League with Real Madrid.

Hazard also retired from football in 2023, after an injury-hit time in Spain. Although his LaLiga career didn’t quite live up to the hype, his status as a Chelsea and Premier League legend is unquestioned, making him a worthy potential addition to the Heroes lineup.

Some players have established themselves as Ultimate Team royalty and Brazilian right-back Maicon falls into that category. Best known for his time at Inter Milan, the pacey defender graced plenty of squads in the mode before he retired in 2021.

That’s not to say he wasn’t loved in real life too, as he is regarded as one of the best players in his position to emerge this century, in a career that saw him win four Serie A titles, two Copa Americas, and the Champions League.

Aside from Buffon, there is currently no official word on the EA FC 25 Icons and Heroes who will be included in this year’s game, but we expect all of the legends who appeared in FC 24 to make a return.

Of course, there’s every chance things could change depending on licensing or issues that could see some of them removed. We’ll be sure to update this section with any news as soon as it breaks.

EA FC 25 is also set to introduce even more licensed leagues and stadiums according to reports, but while we wait for details, make sure you finish the FC 24 season strongly with the best custom tactics and Evolution players.
