Diablo 4 devs have announced upcoming details for the long-awaited Season 3, but players are not feeling confident about it.

Details about Diablo 4’s Season 3 are coming soon, and the response from players has been mixed. Blizzard announced that they will be updating players on changes they can expect this week, including the theme, a new dungeon, leaderboards, and game mechanics.

In a Reddit post titled “How excited are you for Season 3?” players expressed that they are worried about Season 3 being filler content before Season 4, where devs have said the bigger changes are coming.

Although players admitted that Season 2 was a stretch better than the first season of Diablo 4, it still didn’t bring the right amount of changes to make the game as enjoyable as its predecessor.

One player even mentioned that the enjoyable parts of the game were adjustments because of player feedback and bugs. “I’m super cautious. Everything good about the game was due to feedback inspired adjustments and most strong/fun builds were due to bugs, so it’s hard to put a lot of trust into the devs themselves,” they commented.

They continued to talk about how the silence from Blizzard’s side has not helped the lack of excitement. “And here we are, less than 10 days before the new season and we basically have zero info, which translates to zero feedback and zero mass testing. I don’t mind being kept in the dark and surprised but the confidence in the devs is just not there (yet).”

While we are getting an update on what’s coming in the new season soon, players have not felt that the mystery from the devs has helped. If anything, it’s made them hesitant to trust that the game will truly get better before Season 4.

“No itemization and aspect system changes = dead on arrival. Season 4 will be a better time to come back,” a player explained.

Keeping things under wraps for so long may have been a means to make players more excited for Season 3, but it seems to have backfired as fans have expressed their concerns aren’t being met as soon as they need them to.
