Diablo 4 players demand major changes to “useless” Whisper Cache drops

Diablo 4 players have been complaining about the Whisper Caches in Season 2, as they feel that the drops don’t match their level even after all the fixes in enemy drops by the devs.

The Diablo 4 devs tweaked a considerable amount of mechanics in the Season 2 update as the loot structure and drop frequency of various items were increased. Alongside getting valuable loot, players are seemingly leveling up faster compared to last season.

However, some players are still dissatisfied with the type of drops they get as one of the most rewarding mechanics in the game, the Whisper Caches, are reportedly not giving out as valuable items as the players’ World Tiers demand.

Reddit user ‘Up-to-the-top 1’ questioned: “Shouldn’t Whisper caches drop gear that’s equivalent to your world tier?” in their post about Diablo 4 Season 2. They added that “caches always end up dropping gear that wouldn’t drop in your actual world tier.”

It is not new for Diablo 4 to be subject to these complaints as previously in Season 1, its loot and Unique drop frequency were some of the biggest grievances for fans. Although the devs have made a significant amount of changes to the system, it seems like fans want a few more tweaks in Season of Blood.

A fan has even claimed “the devs have no idea what they doing with the game” as other players have mentioned that an “NMD 50+ gives sacred yellow rewards” in Diablo 4 Season 2. So it is evident that fans are pretty dissatisfied with this mechanic and would like it to be changed soon.

As the season progresses, more and more players are being attracted to the game to try out the new content and features that have been introduced. However, players still believe that this loot system “should be illegal” in Diablo 4.

Blizzard are yet to address the issue so it’s unclear if they’re working on a fix. But if more players start to complain about this, don’t be surprised to see a patch addressing the Whisper Caches in the future.
