Diablo 4 players baffled after being murdered by their own Companions

The Seneschal Companion in Diablo 4 can one-shot a lot of bosses in the game, but some players have discovered a bug that causes it to kill them in the Fields of Hatred PvP zone.

Diablo 4 does not have a designated PvP mode. Instead, there are zones on the map itself where players can engage in PvP combat. These zones are known as the Fields of Hatred.

In Season 3, players have the ability to take along a Seneschal Companion with them, in combat. This companion can be outfitted with different Governing and Tuning stones, enabling it to be effective in combat.

However, some players have been noticing that their Seneschal Companion in Diablo 4 continuously attacks them in the PvP zones in the game.

As mentioned by ‘marine-vet7483’ on Reddit, their Seneschal Construct attacked them whenever they killed any enemy in the Fields of Hatred in Diablo 4, and wondered if it was happening to others too.

While many players found it funny and made Terminator jokes and the Seneschal Companion in Diablo 4, there were a few who tried to figure out what was truly happening with the OP. ‘Gabrielelani’ asked, “You sure is not the construct of some other player, zapping you out from out-range?”

To which the OP replied, “I ran from one end of the PvP zone almost to the town before it killed me. Didn’t see any other players or constructs.” A different player asked what the Diablo 4 kill feed showed. To this, ‘katatonic_soul’, a player who experienced the same issue, said, “Had the same issue, it really says Player X was killed by Player X in the chat box.”

Perhaps not many players venture into the PvP zones in Diablo 4 so the issue hasn’t become widespread. But PvP players have added the Seneschal Companion glitch to the long list of bugs in the game.
