Many Diablo 4 players were complaining about a bugged objective known as ‘Lootmaster’ in Season 3, and a player has shared a simple fix for the issue.

Alongside the regular seasonal content in Diablo 4 Season 3, the devs have also initiated a brand new holiday event titled Lunar Awakening. Although there is so much going on in the game, many players have been reaching the end of their seasonal journey quickly.

However, a bugged objective has been putting a halt to many players’ journeys in Season of the Construct and many have asked for a hotfix continuously.

This is the ‘Lootmaster’ objective in Diablo 4 and to complete it, players must open 10 Tortured Gifts during a single Helltide in WT4. Many struggled to complete this as their counter would not reach 10 no matter how many chests they opened.

However, Reddit user ‘PKGOThrowaway’ suggested a fix for it as they claimed: “Lootmaster requires that you open all 10 chests in the SAME sub-region, not multiple regions” in D4.

The OP further clarified that if the region of choice has less than 10 chests, “additional ones will spawn” so players should be able to complete it naturally in Diablo 4. They even shared a screenshot of their completed achievement as proof of this method.

Even though players approved the OP’s method, some of them still wanted the devs to release an official fix. While some of them were confused if it was a glitch or an intentional mechanic, others were convinced that the achievement was “bugged” after the latest patch.

One player said: “Last season it wasn’t this restrictive and I think the latest patch broke it, but it seems this is the only way to complete it currently until they change it unfortunately.”

Some even compared it to Uber Lilith’s achievement and called them to be “the worst challenges” in Diablo 4. Many people in the thread also claimed that this achievement was quite accessible before the latest patch, and this issue rose just after its release.

Blizzard are yet to take action on this matter, but considering how the devs have been active this season, don’t be surprised to see a patch drop for it fairly
