Diablo 4’s meta has been changing dramatically with each update, and players have been worried about the next patch announced ahead of Season 2. Here’s why players are concerned about the Diablo 4 1.1.4 update.

The Diablo 4 community has had a rough week after the annual expansion announcement, but fans’ attention is now focused on what will happen with the upcoming 1.1.4 update. While patch 1.1.3 has been happily received by players, some are worried that a new update ahead of Season of Blood could repeat what happened with the 1.1.0 patch.

Diablo Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher confirmed that Diablo 4 patch 1.1.4 will be released ahead of Season 2, although he hasn’t shared any more news about it and said that there will be more news on the new season “soon.”

Diablo 4 players worried about patch 1.1.4

Diablo 4 fans are hoping that patch 1.1.4 finally fixes major quest bugs that are interrupting players from completing Season 1 objectives, and even hoping it adds the much-requested stash and loot filters. “F**k yes, hopefully some minor QoL changes l, quest bug fixes, S1 aspects stay after the season ends. I’m addicted to these patches,” said Reddit user Lickatongue420.

On the other hand, fans haven’t been so excited about the Season of Blood announcement overall. “They’ve already given up on Season 1 by announcing S2 this early. And I don’t blame them, the damage is already done for S1,” said Reddit user Tuaniers.

Other players are thinking that Season of Blood could incorporate recent players’ requests: “Very excited about this! Season 1 was developed before launch, so hopefully this season will incorporate much of the recent feedback,” expressed Reddit user ChairmanRay.
