Blizzard have significantly increased the drop rates of Uber Uniques from the Echo of Duriel boss fight in Diablo 4 Season 2, as it has been introduced as a hotfix in Patch 1.2.3.

Diablo 4 Season 2 is heading toward its end as most of the players are reaching the endgame with the Abattoir of Zir and Midwinter Blight events. Blizzard also introduced several new Uber bosses to farm in Season of Blood for some exciting Uber Uniques and other valuable items.

However, players have been complaining that the drop rate of Uber uniques is too low in Diablo 4, even after the introduction of new bosses. This is why the devs have released a new hotfix to tackle this issue completely in Season 2.

Blizzard released a new hotfix on December 20, 2023, addressing a few fixes and changes in the game, along with the major change of doubling the Uber Unique drop rate from the Echo of Duriel boss fight.

This means that players who used to complete multiple Duriel runs for Uber Uniques would ideally have to run only half the amount of times to get an Uber Unique in Diablo 4. Although an Uber Unique drop entirely depends on a player’s luck, doubling the chance would prove to be beneficial for many.

Here are the Uber Uniques that Echo of Duriel can drop:

  • Doombringer: Barbarian, Necromancer, Rogue
  • The Grandfather: Barbarian, Necromancer
  • Melted Heart of Selig: All Classes
  • Andariel’s Visage: All Classes
  • Harlequin Crest: All Classes
  • Ring of Starless Skies: All Classes
  • Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander: Druid, Sorcerer

Keep in mind that this change is not permanent as the double Echo for Duriel Uber Unique drop rate would only be valid until January 8, 2023. The devs mentioned in their official patch notes: “We’re boosting Duriel Uber Unique drop rates until January 8th to help all those looking for that special piece of gear. Happy Holidays!”

With Season 2 set to end on January 23, 2023, a sudden drop rate boost for a few weeks would surely help those you are looking forward to continue playing with their character in the Eternal realm after the season ends.
