Lost Sectors is one of the most sought-after endgame activities for solo players in Destiny 2, but players didn’t find the rewards all that flattering to play it regularly. Addressing the feedback, Bungie are now making changes to the reward pool in Season 23.

Lost Sectors in Destiny 2 are one of the most reliable ways to farm exotics. The current pool is limited and refreshes daily, similar to most things in Destiny 2, like Banshee-44. However, players felt that the drop rate was poor, and aside from exotics, they had nothing else to offer. Many found that playing it wasn’t rewarding for the effort.

Season of the Wish brings plenty of QoL and weapon changes to Destiny 2, and Bungie have now confirmed that it’ll also expand the current Lost Sectors loot pool with Legendary weapons, guaranteed to drop on Master difficulty.

Legendary weapons now part of Destiny 2 Lost Sector rewards

In their November 16 TWID (This Week in Destiny) blog post, Bungie provided information on some of the changes coming to Destiny 2 with Season 23. It was headlined by the returning Dragon’s Breath, alongside the details on new rewards for Lost Sector.

Beginning with Season 23, players who complete Lost Sectors solo will also be rewarded with additional Legendary guns. The guarantees for drop rate, assuming you kill all champions, are:

  • Legend – 70%
  • Master – 100%

For Master difficulty, the guns will drop with an additional perk in either the third or fourth column. As for what guns are featured, here is the list provided by Bungie.

  • Day 1
    • Nox Perennial V
    • Old Sterling
    • Marsilion-C
    • Senuna SI6
  • Day 2
    • Psi Hermetic V
    • Glissando-47
    • Irukandji
    • Nasreddin
  • Day 3
    • Heliocentric QSc
    • Last Foray
    • Hand in Hand
    • Battle Scar
  • Day 4
    • Geodetic HSm
    • Combined Action
    • Harsh Language
    • Coronach-22
  • After the fourth day, the cycle repeats.

Additionally, Bungie said newer weapons will be added to this pool as the current ones will replaced once they get older.
