Warzone’s new chapter has been released, and as players adapt to the numerous changes and dive into all the new content, some struggle to enjoy the game given the terrible server performance ruining their matches.

The long-awaited integration between Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 arrived with Season 1 on December 6, offering players with a ton of new content to dive into, alongside several movement changes and quality-of-life improvements compared to its predecessor.

Additionally, this update brought the brand new battle royale map, Urzikstan, featuring a wide variety of POIs to explore. However, despite the game’s positive improvements, players have pointed out that its “horrendous servers” are preventing them from enjoying the latest patch.

Reddit user ‘D3LTTA’ shared a post titled, “What are these horrendous servers?” and further commented, “Seriously every game we did… the servers absolutely s**t themselves in the beginning and slowly got better into the game.”

Although several players agreed that it’s not a packet loss or ping problem in the post’s comments, they did point out that the problem could be due to “rubber banding,” a visual effect of latency.

“This weekend was so so bad. Maybe 10% of my games were fluid, the rest had some serious jank and rubber-banding. Absolutely unacceptable,” one user shared. Another player added, “The game is quite literally unplayable for me currently. It’s Caldera launch all over again…”

In a different post on Reddit, ‘alexandremix’ added to the negative feeling by sharing a video showing the server issues that prevent them from navigating the map smoothly. They noted, “1 out of 5 games my game is like this.”

Another player chimed in agreeing with the OP by saying, “Every game I’ve played is like this. My connection is fine. Never was a problem in WZ2.” Another player also remarked, “Same problem, unplayable, even the “good” servers make the game lag.”

Warzone‘s servers have been one of the most recurring problems in the title since its launch, however, players hope that these problems are quickly solved so they can enjoy the new massive update of the free-to-play CoD game.
