The launch of Modern Warfare 3 will bring a major update for the battle royale, Warzone. The Call of Duty Next event revealed a bunch of quality-of-life updates coming to Warzone, so here’s everything you need to know.

Warzone is set for a major overhaul in content as Modern Warfare 3‘s launch will introduce a new map for the battle royale and more.

While Urzikstan and the MW3 weapons may be the most enticing new additions, some may be increasingly concerned about the quality-of-life changes coming, especially if they feel the current state of Warzone is in need of major changes.

With that said, here are all of the quality-of-life updates coming to Warzone come MW3’s launch, as revealed at the Call of Duty Next event.

Warzone MW3 quality-of-life updates

Once Modern Warfare 3 arrives, Warzone will carry forward its increased health, but there will also be some other significant quality-of-life changes.

Check out a list of the biggest quality-of-life improvements coming to Warzone with MW3 below:

  • Faster pacing with circle closing time and size rebalancing
  • Gas Masks can now be equipped manually
  • Tear Gas Grenades can be countered with Gas Masks
  • Automatically pull a Pistol out when swimming in water regardless of loadout
  • Contracts are easier to find and they come with new rewards
  • Horizontal ziplines
  • The Urzikstan Warzone map train has a handbrake to stop at the back and more controls to start it again at the front of the train
  • Improved UI

As you can see, there are some pretty huge changes coming, as Gas Masks can be equipped manually, and your Operator will come equipped with a Pistol for those underwater scenarios, even if you’re loadout does not have one.

The devs also revealed that the train on Urzikstan features a handbrake lever at the back, which players can use to override and stop the train. That said, the front also features a way to speed the train up and get going again.

On top of all the new reveals at CoD Next, the devs also confirmed that more quality-of-life updates will be detailed for Warzone in the MW3 Season 1 update for the battle royale.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted on all of this information, so stay tuned. For now, check out the new Warzone-exclusive Perks set to arrive in the MW3 update.
