Treyarch’s Call of Duty 2024 has allegedly cast lead character ‘Ratcliffe’

Despite the recent release of Season 4 Reloaded in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, which brought a huge amount of brand-new content, attention has been captured by an unexpected leak about Call of Duty 2024, set to release in 2024.
Latest reports indicate Sledgehammer Games is set to make a return developing Call of Duty 2023, which appears to be titled Modern Warfare 3. It’s expected that this highly anticipated installment will be a full premium release that continues the gripping story from both the campaign and the last Episode 4 of Atomgrad Raids in Modern Warfare 2. Following this release, Treyarch is rumored to make a comeback with CoD 2024, aiming to deliver the next installment in the Black Ops series.
According to a report by Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, American actor Luke Charles Stafford shared on his official account that “Activision have decided to adapt their next main character ‘Ratcliffe’ for Call of Duty off [his] face / likeness.”

Given the name ‘Ratcliffe,’ the character appears to be based on a former British Army soldier who served in the Parachute Regiment and Special Air Service. He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal for gallantry during the Gulf War.
Previous leaks suggest that Call of Duty 2024 will be set in the 1990s, and it will feature events such as the Gulf War and the Battle of Mogadishu. Early concept art showcases a map located at a US military base in a desert area, with a Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk stealth bomber in the hangar.
In the content shared by the actor on his social media, he mentions ‘Call of Duty’ several times and prompts some team members to say hello, with one of them wearing a Modern Warfare 2 t-shirt, which is the franchise’s latest installment.
Following reports of Stafford’s posts, which had initially gone unnoticed, the American actor quickly removed all Treyarch’s Call of Duty 2024-related content off his social media accounts, leaving just a few screenshots the only trace of proof.
While Activision has not made any official comments, this unintentional leak could serve as further evidence for the long-awaited Call of Duty title set in the 1990s, being the first time the franchise enters into this setting.
