Never-used Warzone AR shoots up meta rankings after major buffs

Warzone expert and content creator Metaphor has shared his loadout for an Assault Rifle that players never used, but thanks to major buffs, the M16 is now viable.

The Warzone 2 Season 6 update now only introduced players to some brand new weapons, including the TR-76 Geist and the ISO 9mm SMG.

As well as this, as with every major update, Season 6 also brought various buffs and nerfs to the game’s arsenal. These balance changes will often bring under-used weapons into the fray, as well as reduce the power of the most popular guns.

Easily one of the most neglected weapons in Warzone since the battle royale’s release is the M16, a classic Call of Duty burst Assault Rifle that usually packs a punch, however, in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, it’s failed to impress.

That said, it could all change, as the Season 6 update brought some major buffs for the weapon, which Warzone expert and content creator Metaphor takes advantage of with his best loadout for the weapon.

Metaphor claims that the weapon has been “getting buffed over the last couple of months,” and thanks to these buffs he now believes it is a “pretty good close-to-mid-range weapon,” so here’s his best loadout for it.

Metaphor’s Warzone 2 M16 loadout

• Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40
• Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
• Rear Grip: Sakin ZX Grip
• Stock: PSO Heavy
• Optic: Cronen Mini Pro

Kicking off this M16 loadout, Metaphor opts for the Sakin Tread-40 for some vertical and horizontal recoil control, allowing you to stay on target and get the job done.

As for the underbarrel, the FTAC Ripper 56 is great for providing some stability and stabilization, while the Sakin ZX Grip also improves the recoil control for the weapon. To further improve stability and recoil control, you’ll want the PSO Heavy stock.

Lastly, to help visuals and provide the loadout with a nice sight for you to see your enemy, you can’t go wrong with the Cronen Mini Pro optic.

As you can see, Metaphor’s M16 loadout is all about reducing the weapon’s recoil so that you can hit the enemy with multiple bursts, as that’s what will get them down and eliminated.

Definitely give this weapon a try if you’re looking for a new Assault Rifle in Warzone 2 Season 6, especially if you’re looking for something to pair with the Lockwood 300, which is currently extremely strong.
