UPDATE 3 — October 31: A new game update for Modern Warfare Remastered just went live again on PlayStation 4 and has re-enabled Public and Private Matches in the game for everyone to go online.

A message of the day in game says:

Stay Frosty…

Modern Warfare Remastered officially launches on November 4. Day 1 prep is in full swing as we are heads down making final adjustments to launch. In other words, game servers will be intermittent and unavailable at times as we make final adjustments before Friday. Thank you for your patience!

NOTE: Embargo is still in effect. Activision will take down all streams and gameplay videos. They are even taking down some pictures form Twitter.

UPDATE 2: Now private matches have been shut down. Was fun while it lasted.

UPDATE: Looks like the MP servers were shut down, you can now only play private matches with bots.

You need to find someone in your friends list that is currently in a game session in Modern Warfare Remastered, either in a online game or a private match. Once you’ve joined them — you’re all set. You can play online and private matches.
