The Modern Warfare 3 beta is the perfect time to explore some of the new weapons that will arrive at launch. While it’s still early days, the MCW Assault Rifle has been a popular option, and a former CDL pro has revealed a “zero recoil” loadout for the weapon.

Modern Warfare 3 will bring a new arsenal of weapons for players to discover and level up. While the MW3 beta only has a limited amount of new guns, the MCW has been hard to ignore as one of the best weapons in the game.

Sam ‘Octane’ Larew, dubbed the human turret, enjoyed an immensely successful career as a pro player, most notably becoming a CDL World Champion playing Call of Duty: Vanguard in 2022. Now, the former pro turned content creator for 100 Thieves is diving into everything MW3 has to offer

Check out Octane’s best MCW loadout that is perfect for the Modern Warfare 3 beta to find out if Octane is the one pro that doesn’t seem pro, or if he does indeed snap on good accuracy.

Octane’s best MCW loadout for Modern Warfare 3 beta

  • Barrel: 16.5″ MCW Cyclone Long Barrel
  • Stock: MCW Lancer Tactical Stock
  • Rear Grip: RB Talon-X3 Grip
  • Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop

For starters, Octane explains that there are two options for the Barrel attachment that comes down to player preference. Both the 16.5″ MCW Cyclone Long Barrel and KR Midnight 13″ Barrel provide the attributes that create a “zero recoil” MCW.

However, the Barrels have different iron sights, therefore, players may want to test them both out to see which one they prefer. Then, the XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop and RB Talon-X3 Grip combine to provide even more stability and recoil control.

Octane’s MCW Assault Rifle loadout for the Modern Warfare 3 beta wouldn’t be complete without the MCW Lancer Tactical Stock that provides extra mobility by boosting ADS speed, amongst other attributes.

The former pro player opts for four attachments instead of the maximum of five, seeing as a fifth would bring unwanted negative stats to the MCW’s performance.
