Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout ‘Doritos Bowl’ event takes place October 27 at TwitchCon
Activision and Doritos have announced a new Doritos Bowl event taking place at TwitchCon on October 27, where the biggest Twitch streamers will compete in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s new Blackout Battle Royale mode.
Doritos has announced that Ninja, Shroud, CourageJD, and DrLupo will be competing at this event, alongside more players to be announced.
Doritos Bowl is an epic battle royale tournament coming to TwitchCon 2018. On October 27, four all-star teams led by the biggest Twitch streamers in the world will compete in the massive new Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 battle royale mode — Blackout. The winning team will take home the Doritos Bowl trophy. Which team will be the last one standing?
“Doritos Bowl takes the brand’s long history in gaming to new heights and puts us front and center within the gaming community,” said Leslie Vesper, Frito-Lay North America’s senior director of marketing, in the press release for the announcement. “When you have names and partners like Doritos, Twitch, and Ninja all joining forces, you know it’s going to be an epic event. We hope this will be something unlike anyone has ever seen in gaming.”
The official Doritos Bowl website has revealed the teams that will be playing. There is four quads of four players that will compete on October 27.
“I am very excited to be involved in Doritos Bowl; the event should be really fun and I am quite interested to see how my team will stack up against the squads that Ninja, DrLupo and CouRage have put together,” said Shroud. “Most importantly, I am pumped to get hooked up with ridiculous amounts of Doritos ;).”
