Warzone players frustrated as Orion camo disabled by Season 5 bug
ActivisionWarzone 2 players are reporting a new bug in Season 5 that stops them from using their favorite camos, preventing them from reaping the rewards of the camo grind.
Camos are a huge element of Call of Duty‘s progression and retention, and Warzone 2 is no different, as ever since launch, players have been grinding out camos, completing challenges in order to obtain them all.
Doing so will earn you a great reward in the final Mastery camo, Orion. It’s not an achievement to take lightly, so those with dedication and hard work who have rightfully earned the Orion camo will no doubt want to show it off in-game.
Unfortunately, a new bug with the Season 5 update seems to be preventing this, as some players are reporting an issue that prevents them from using the Orion camo, and others.
Reddit user ‘Klubhead’ put a post up in the Warzone subreddit showing the error message that comes up whenever the player tries to use the Orion camo on their loadout. The post is titled “Orion camo broken,” as the in-game error message states that the camo is “invalid,” resetting the camo to default.
This is obviously an annoying bug for those who have worked hard to achieve Orion, and the OP isn’t the only one who has been experiencing this bug.
In the comments, one user also said, “I’m getting this too,” while another Reddit post highlighted the same bug. A user in the comments of this post showed their frustration with the issue, as they sarcastically said, “good thing I spent 2000 hours grinding for Orion.”
Further, it seems like it’s not just the Orion camo that is being affected by this issue, as many players are reporting the issue with other camos such as “event camos” like the collab with The Boys and also a “camo from the Episode 3 Raid.” One player even states it is happening to them on “any camo…it doesn’t save my gun at all. Bugged.”
The bug is known to the devs, as it’s on their Trello board that tracks issues with the game, however, it doesn’t mention the Orion camo. Hopefully, they are also aware that it is affecting camos like Orion too. The bug is under investigation, so a fix will be made soon, but we don’t have a time frame for that, unfortunately.
