Despite benefiting from RICOCHET anti-cheat, Warzone players have noticed an uptick in hackers following the Season 3 Reloaded update which has led to immense frustration.

We’re well into Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded and with significant changes impacting the best weapons in the game, players are still getting used to the alterations. Unfortunately, it seems an increase in hackers is ruining matches for many frustrated players.

While complaints of hackers running rampant are nothing new when it comes to Warzone, there was a clear reduction in the number of hackers following the integration of RICOCHET. However, players feel as though the floodgates are starting to open during Season 3 Reloaded.

There are few things as frustrating as dying to hackers in Warzone and while RICOCHET successfully limited encounters with hackers in the past, it seems like a new wave of cheaters is taking Warzone by storm.

Frustrated players took to the Warzone subreddit to discuss their frequent run-ins with hackers. Most of the player descriptions sound similar and they seem to notice an increase in hackers following the Season 3 Reloaded update.

Based on player testimony found in the comments of a post discussing the recent uptick in hackers, it seems that “walls” are the most common disturbance. One player mentioned that they were getting tracked through walls “every single game.”

They weren’t alone in voicing their frustration as several players stated just how frequent the issue has become: “I ran into 3 games in a row.” While RICOCHET has been efficient in the past, one player believes that this increase in hackers is due to a new batch of cheats. While we don’t know if this is accurate, their theory explains that “it would take a little [time] for ricochet to catch up.”

Activision have stated in the past that RICOCHET is constantly evolving and growing as a program that is able to detect and eliminate new hacks. If this is the case, then hackers could become less common as the season goes on.
