Warzone 2 DMZ AI on both Al Mazrah and the new Ashika Island received a nerf on March 1, as the devs respond to numerous player complaints concerning impossible AI.

Warzone 2 Season 2 delivered plenty of new content on February 15 including a brand-new Resurgence map called Ashika Island and several new weapons.

Players quickly set out to discover Ashika Island and its secrets. With Path of the Ronin challenges to complete and new public events like Data Heists, there’s no shortage of new experiences.

The new map also gave DMZ players a new territory to explore. Following Season 2, fans of DMZ could venture to Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. Despite the new variety in battlegrounds, one major issue kept popping up after the Season 2 update.

According to players, DMZ AI on both maps proved way too difficult and made the mode unplayable. This was surprising to Warzone 2 players seeing as the Season 2 update “adjusted [the] lethality of AI across Al Mazrah including the number of AI spawning, and the accuracy of AI at range.”

Ultimately, players didn’t feel the full effects of this Season 2 change to DMZ AI and demanded more nerfs to reduce their damage output.

DMZ AI nerf in Warzone 2 Season 2

Warzone 2 DMZ fans got exactly what they were asking for, as the devs confirmed another nerf to DMZ AI on March 1.

It didn’t take long for players to express their delight with the change to DMZ AI: “THANK GOD. So sick of them having cronus aim. Makes it so I can’t tell who’s a bot and who’s a real player.”

Hopefully, this latest nerf after an initial nerf with the Season 2 update will be enough to balance DMZ AI so the feature isn’t ruining matches for players.

While most players in the replies viewed this as a step in the right direction, others were cautious about the impact, saying “I hope moderate is enough.”

Now’s your chance to hop into DMZ and discover the AI changes on Ashika Island and Al Mazrah.
